Quite simply: we could not have imagined choosing a more ideal place of residence. This being our first condominium living experience, we have been particularly impressed with all of the attention and services provided these past three years. When folks ask us how we like it here, we often say we expect to be living here for at least the next 10,000 days! (That will take us well into our 90s!) "Where do we start?" Shepard's Cove is simply a hidden jewel nestled in the most beautiful region of New England. We move here almost four years ago-one of the first residents. Since then, we've met so many new and interesting neighbors from varied backgrounds and careers. As active seniors, we like to bike, golf, fish and kayak on Spruce Creek......and ,of course, socialize in our first class clubhouse. The natural beauty of Spruce Creek, especially the spectacular and ever changing sunsets, have us "pinching ourselves", as we sit on our private deck taking in the nightly show." Best of all is Portsmouth, NH. recently voted one of the best places to live in the U.S. From dining to entertainment Portsmouth is truly a "happening" town and just two miles away." "We travel often but have yet to find anyplace that compares with our beautiful Shepard's Cove community." I certainly wasn't the first person to discover Shepards Cove and Eric Chinburg as a builder. I can state that I was the very first person to move in here when there was just the model building and to be here for 3 and a half months alone. I've watched the construction process and have watched the community grow and become the neighborhood that it is today. It has been a development that has been realized through a Eric's Chinburgs vision with offerings of walking paths, water views, wildlife, boating. We also have a beautiful community clubhouse for all the neighbors to get together to enjoy. I have enjoyed four years here and I'm still amazed with the development and the developers creation. "After two years of looking on the New Hampshire seacoast we heard about Shepard’s Cove through a friend who had moved here. We felt that the quality was superior to others that we had looked at. We also noticed how everyone waved and smiled as we drive past them. As we love to travel, another bonus is that “the Cove” is close to the Pease airport with hourly bus service to Logan. The proximity to Boston allows us to visit our son and his wife frequently, where we enjoy dining in the North End. We have loved exploring the local restaurants, including: the White Barn Inn, On the Marsh, the pub at the York Harbor Inn, the deck at Billy’s in Ogunquit and Anneke Jans right here in Kittery. “We had been reviewing and visiting several active adult communities and after visiting 22, we happened upon Shepard’s Cove. It was the first place that we both fell in love with immediately. The location was perfect, the design beautiful and it engaged a true sense of New England. From our first visit everyone that we met was warm and friendly. We love the size of the community because it is small enough to get to know everyone. We will be happy here for the rest of our lives.”
